Tis food time

Good afternoon or good morning depending on where you are.

I shall say that last night's dinner made me feel fat. Yeah yeah, I'm pregnant so I'm not fat but I ate so well that that is how I felt. Last night's dinner consisted of stove-top tilapia, fresh buttered green beans, rice, a salad, and sweet tea.

I seasoned the tilapia with lemon pepper, a small amount of homemade creole seasoning, homemade seasoned pepper, and some butter at the end of its cooking time. The green beans have to be smothered and cooked in butter with lemon pepper as the seasoning for it as well. I don't have a rice cooker right now so I had to make rice in a pot on the stove, it's a touch tricky but I think I have the technique down now. Salad is self-explanatory, so I don’t need to explain anything there. And then of course we all know how sweet tea is made (at least I hope that we do). But instead of giving myself diabetes, I only put in slightly more than 1/2 a cup of sugar to my tea.

What slightly annoyed me about last night is that if I eat properly then I'll be hungry in a couple hours no matter how much or how little I ate BUT if I eat unhealthy foods like fast food or girl dinner then I am full for much longer. It's strange especially since being pregnant is either supposed to make you crazy nauseous or crazy hungry 24/7.

Slight subject change…… I have started buying stuff for creating my baby's room as well as the things that I need for my little one and to help me heal during the postpartum period. I may have mentioned this but I didn't have a baby shower so because of that I have hella things to buy and I do feel like I am behind on that front. I wish that I had more money for the next month or two so that I could get everything that me and baby need before he gets here but I have to make do and limit things.

Thank you for reading about my boring dinner and my small little input of me and the baby. I shall talk to you guys later.
